The person I spoke to didn't really understand the issue and the resolution wasn't great, but I think that may be a Sage issue rather than anything else. I have asked for Sage to be contacted regarding the VAT return issue to see if there is another resolution or explanation – Do you have any other feedback on the support service received?

Hi Lesley-Ann,

Thank you for your feedback and apologies the outcome was not as you had hoped on this occasion.

I have discussed the issue with our Support Manager who also was involved in resolving the case. The solution we have provided is the only way to address the issue. As you suggested in your response, this is standard Sage functionality which has been developed in accordance with HMRC guidelines and cannot be amended.
